What is the temporal module?
It is a grouping of pulsations that can be repeated cyclically and that generates a new modular numbering.
THE TEMPORAL MODULE IN EVERYDAY LIFE
The module concept is continuously present in our daily lives. It helps us to simplify the numbering of things, grouping them into sets. For example, in an annual calendar, the 365 days of the year are grouped into 12 months.
To indicate a date, the number of the day of the month and the month to which the day belongs are given.
If we did not use the months to organize the days of the annual calendar in modules, we would indicate the dates with a number from 1 to 365, which are the number of days of the year.
We can observe that if we use the numbers from 1 to 365 to indicate a date, it is way more difficult to locate ourselves temporally. On the other hand, if we simplify the numbering of the days of the year using the month module, we can better locate the dates.
In the case of the months of the year, the modules are not the same since they vary between 28 and 31 days. This variation of the module is possible in the temporal dimension, while it is not possible in the sound dimension.
THE TEMPORAL MUSICAL MODULE
In the temporal dimension of the music, we use the concept of module to group thepulsationsin setsin orther to facilitate their localization andsimplify the numbering of the pulses through the modular pulses.
The concept of temporal module coincides with that of the traditional compass. Therefore, we call each one of these pulsation modules compass (c).
The type of compass is defined by its length, i.e. the number of pulsations it contains.

The compasses can have different lengths but the sum of them must always equal the total length of the idea.

We can change the type of time compass at any time, thus establishing a succession of compasses. The compasses are also numbered starting from 0.

Segments and compasses are independent, although we can synchronize them.
THE COMPASSES IN THE NUZIC APP
